Boundaries as a Project through Time

Borders and Boundaries have been prevalent topics within AA projects across history from Rem Koolhaas’ graduation project Exodus that imagined a walled city as a linear strip that cut through London’s urban fabric to more recently Ja Kim’s honours project in 2013 on the De-Militarised Zone between North and South Korea. See some of these projects as a special display in the AA Archive that will bring together projects dealing with the notion of lines and territories to construct a collective understanding of what a border or boundary within an architectural project might be.
