Administrative boundaries means that there is always an edge to contend with when shaping the city. Throughout the history of London these spatial, social and economic boundaries have changed frequently and even today, responsibility and ownership of the edges can be unclear, leading to challenging circumstances when delivering projects that cross administrative boundaries.
In this evening talk, we will hear about how London’s borough boundaries became what they are today, and from those involved in delivering projects that have required new methods to address the city’s edges.
