Unlocking the Geffrye Museum of the Home: Hard-hat tours with our architects

Get a sneak preview of the Geffrye Museum of the Home’s transformation with a hard-hat tour with architects Wright & Wright. A year ahead of the museum’s reopening in Spring 2020, you will be able to see the work in progress as 300-year-old spaces are being opened up to the public for the first time, alongside the creation of a new studio and learning pavilion. The development heralds an exciting moment for the museum as it expands and offers new spaces and ways to engage across the site, highlighting how the Geffrye Museum is becoming a much more open space, using its architecture to break down boundaries. The tour will be led by the design team and will look at both the history and future of the site. Booking essential. There will be 5 tours, with capacity for 10 people per tour at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.
This event is suitable for children over the age of 12 years old.
