PLACES AND BUILDING FACES NEAR VICTORIA – GUIDED TOUR

PDP London has been operating from its Ebury Street office for over two decades, witnessing and contributing to the development of the area through delivering such landmark projects as the Duke of York's Square and Cadogan Hall, and our recent office move to Eccleston Yards has prompted a review of our immediate surroundings. Tailoring designs to their context requires a study of a variety of maps e.g. of conservation areas, figure ground plans, etc., but there are numerous less tangible boundaries that have been imposed onto our cities, such as boroughs wards, postcode areas, local district areas, archaeological priority zones, etc., each of them revealing an aspect of our cultural heritage. In this walking tour, architects from PDP London will explore some of the interfaces of such boundaries, highlighting physical features of the built environment that affect our perception, as well as providing clues as to how the area boundaries have come into being. Starting and ending at Eccleston Yards, the tour is expected to take around 2 hours.
