OKR Design Challenge

Action OKR follow last year's popular OKR Design Challenge with a High Street Workshop, complemented by walks, exhibitions and events.

We'll be using fun, accessible ways to engage with the proposed large-scale redevelopment of the Old Kent Road, and building a mega-model of the high street. We'll look at how the road itself, often seen as a barrier, could instead link this diverse area, and explore how public engagement might bridge boundaries between community, council and developer.

Architects, planners, and academics will be on hand over the weekend working with community group Action OKR, local residents and businesses to develop a people's plan for the Old Kent Road high street. What you help put together will be a resource to help stimulate good design that meets the needs and ambitions of local people, both now and in the future.

Join us at Old Kent Road's new community space. Tell us what you love or hate about the high street and what you would (and wouldn't) like to see happen. How might current plans affect your everyday life? And how should your everyday life be shaping those plans?

An Action OKR / Vital OKR / Cass Cities joint venture.
