Ft’work presents a series of three, hard-hitting short films, in collaboration with Sarah Wigglesworth Architects and community-based organisations. Each explores boundaries from the point of view of a particular social group, whose experience reveals where social and physical boundaries collide. In ‘Postcode’ young people exposed to gang violence discuss the significance of postcode boundaries and the impact they have on their lives. ‘Without Walls’ captures conversations between women who have served prison sentences, as they share experiences of physical confinement and discuss 'women's centres', the intended replacement for women’s prisons. ‘Regeneration Divide’ documents young people’s experience of regeneration and relocation, as a football team watch their old estate demolished and their new homes built. Each film will be followed by a discussion between a protagonist associated with the film and a key influencer, about the issues it raises.
