Crossing Borough Boundaries – Sarah Wigglesworth Architects Cycle Tour

Join Sarah Wigglesworth Architects for a cycle tour, where we will visit a selection of our buildings across the city.

The tour will be led by members of SWA staff. We will start at Deborah House in Hackney, then head south to Southwark, then west - finishing at the Cremorne Gardens in Chelsea, visiting six of the practice’s projects along the way. At each stopping point the team will provide key information about the project, including the specification, brief and project background. The visits incorporate a range of building types including housing, arts and culture and civic space. Our halfway mark will be a visit inside the iconic Siobhan Davies Dance Studios project near Elephant and Castle.

The tour isn’t just for cycle enthusiasts! The route will follow TfL quiet ways and cycle routes and we will be going at a leisurely pace, accessible by all. There will be plenty of stops along the way, including stops for refreshments. If you don’t have your own bike, TfL Santander bikes have docking stations near the start (Hackney Central station) and finish (right next to Cremorne Gardens). If you wish to join us for a shorter section, that is also possible. A more detailed programme with timings of stop off points will be issued when you register for the event.
