Build a Green Wall: Bring People Together

Green walls and vertical gardens are becoming popular across London, but what role can they perform beyond looking pretty? We invite you to the launch of London’s newest green wall and hear from our expert speakers. Bordering Borough’s historic yards and Guy’s campus, the green wall softens physical boundaries, encouraging alternative tranquil walking routes away from busy main streets, and will provide a rich and diverse array of plants. The wall has galvanised partners to cut traffic and parking, thus providing fresh air and wellbeing for patients, students, passers-by and visitors. Our speakers will talk about the approach to the transformation and how the choice of planting will support biodiversity and clean air.

We invite you to join us and London’s Deputy Mayor for Environment and Energy to visit and learn about London’s newest green wall from our expert speakers.

You will hear from:

- Shirley Rodrigues, Deputy Mayor for Environment and Energy
- Fenella Griffin, Untitled Practice Landscape Architects
- Niall McEvoy, Scotscape Ltd
- Kat Thorne, Kings College London

The green wall is funded by Team London Bridge, Guy's and St Thomas' Charity and the Mayor of London.
