How does a space, a city or object affect us and how do their visual, tactile and spatial presence influence our state of mind?
In her talk Boundaries of Wonder, Maria van Embden Andres will question how aesthetic interventions that create a sense of wonder can replace boundaries such as hedges, fences and walls. Expect a compelling series of visual observations accompanied by personal thoughts and reflections. Touching on examples in the realm of public space, architecture, art and design, she will address how interactivity, details, materiality, colour and light can influence our behaviour.
All are more than welcome to share views on the topic over a discussion afterwards.
Zela London offers drinks during the talk and the opportunity to stay for cocktails and great Mediterranean Japanese cuisine after the event.
